It’s official: it has been a year since I adopted a 100% vegan lifestyle! Before the impending day of eating-way-too-much last year, I decided to eat a fully vegan version of dinner for the occasion. It was the best decision of my life! I’ve since helped others in their transition to a vegan lifestyle and we are never looking back. I was predominantly vegetarian for a few years before this, but the knowledge of all the benefits to veganism won my heart. ❤
How my life has changed since becoming vegan:
- I have lost 30 pounds in a healthy way
- I am no longer pre-diabetic
- I no longer have high cholesterol
- My blood pressure values improved dramatically (from an average of 140 down to 110!)
- My skin has fewer breakouts and is more clear overall
- My mood is more balanced and I am able to manage my mental health more effectively
- I am eating a greater variety of foods then ever before
- I have yet to die of protein deficiency… I will keep you posted.
How the lives of others has changed since becoming vegan:
- Saving animal lives
- Contributing to the healing of the environment
- Bringing focus back to compassion for all beings
- Saving water
- Reducing the impact of deforestation
- Teaching and practicing kindness for others
- Educating others on the health benefits of a vegan lifestyle, including easing or full reversal of some chronic conditions. I’ve since helped several people transition
- Increased volunteer efforts
- Showing the difference that a lifestyle change can make on the world as a whole
Ultimately, the choice is yours. I can only offer my own education and personal knowledge of my path, expressing the benefits in my life and that of others. Even replacing one meal a day will have an impact! Never expect 100% veganism – just try your best every day. You MATTER and you DO make a difference. Have a lovely day!
