The holidays are upon us, and that can only mean one thing: Cranberry Season! 🎄 It also means making delicious dishes with your family, so I collaborated with my partner Tim on his recipe for a spicy, unique addition to the holiday get-together. ❤️ This easy, nutrient packed mixture of sweet and spicy is sure to satisfy! Not to mention, it’s vibrancy will certainly impress. Let’s make it!
Tim’s Cranberry Jalapeño Salsa
Ingredients:
- 1 12-oz package of cranberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 fresh jalapeño, roughly chopped
- 1 large sprig of green onion, white root removed
- 1 large bunch of cilantro
- 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
- 2-3 Tbsp lime juice
- Garnish (optional): cilantro, jalapeño slices, sliced green onion
Method:
- Add all ingredients to a large food processor and pulse until just combined. The texture should resemble a chopped salsa versus a liquid, as seen in the photo below.
- Start with a half jalapeño if you prefer a less spicy version, and add more to your preference. 🌶
- If using frozen cranberries, place the processed mixture into an airtight foodsafe container and store in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
- If you used fresh cranberries, store in the fridge for 20 minutes before serving.
- Enjoy! 😋

That’s it! Serve chilled on its own, or over a small block of Tofutti (or your preferred plain vegan cream cheese brand). We like to pair it with multigrain crackers or tortilla chips, and it goes beautifully as an addition to any holiday main dish. Have a safe, delicious Winter season! Blessed Yule and Merry Solstice! 🎄✨️
